Im Blessing Tshabalala , based in Johannesburg South. Im 18 years of age and matriculated last year . The reason Im sending this email is to request for Bursary/funding , Mercedes mentioned that you guys issue bursaries too. On the 22nd of July I attended an open day at Stageworx college located in Randburg , followed by my audition that took place on the 24th of July for enrollment for 2018 . After I had completed what was required from me I was asked if I could start school on the 1st of August 2017 and I was told that Im quite talented and they see a lot of potential in me and they would love for me to obtain my first diploma by December for the Senior Comprehensive Package before I start the 101 Course for 2018.
I have always had an interest and passion for the Arts and I believe it also carries so much weight just like the academics. I started dancing ,acting and singing at a young age. I developed this strong interest towards the Arts, having been inspired by Artists like Chommie when growing up. At that moment I realised that Arts will be one of the most important things for me.
Being an Artist has always been my dream, but recently I have developed the interest of being more than just an Artist but I desire to even own my own Art school. Throughout my life I have always been involved in any dancing competitions that happened in Soweto Protea Glen. I have had quite a few opportunities that knocked on my door e.g Arts showcase Founded by Kim Meyer but due to finances I couldnt go to New York.
I am sociable, with excellent communication skills. I am hard working and able to work under pressure. I believe that being a student at Stageworx would not only empower my career development, but would give me the opportunity to utilise my full potentials.
