For the past couple of months I have been working on a National History Day project on Route 66. I am trying to show the connection between the success of businesses and the high traffic of the old route 66.
The reason I am contacting you is I need an expert interview for the project. If you have time, I would like to ask you a few questions. When establishing a new McDonald's, do you calculate the annual rate of cars that pass? Also, when you place restaurants on the highway do you try to find a center of the highway so that if people are driving on the highway for a long time, they can stop to "break up" the drive? The big question is how important is traffic and the location of the business to its success.
