Janine sent a message to Stuart Gulliver Group CEO, HSBC Holdings PLC – email address that said:
Dear Stuart, I am writing to you to ask why it is that HSBC will be closing their branch at 371 Walderslade Road, Walderslade, Chatham ME5 9LZ in July 2016? This is a thriving village in Kent. I am told to use the Maidstone branch instead. Thank you for that. Just opposite that branch is the new Metro Bank which may I say is so different to HSBC, they are "hands on" with treating the "little person" like me, as a valued customer. This is no reflection on the staff at HSBC but rather the way that your bank seems to be more interested in Business World Wide, not people like me. I might also say while I am writing this, on 30th March I held on for 1hour 10 Minutes to transfer monies using HSBC Telephone Banking. I complained at the Maidstone branch and was offered £50.00 for my time on the call. I find that HSBC seem to want their customers to transfer to Internet Banking. I have no desire to use that facility - ever. Metro Bank therefore would be the way forward for me. I am able to speak to a customer service ex. actually at the Maidstone branch, over the phone with no help desk overseas to go through. I would greatly appreciate your feed back on this, if you have the time.
Kind regards
Janine
