Dear William.H.Spence
I am not sure if this email will get to you but I am going to try. I am writing this email as my partner was currently employed with yourself at Western power Distribution located in Cardiff sadly his contract was terminated as he had broken the rules at your company. There were many reasons as to why these circumstances come about he requested a day off which he was denied as there were not enough teams in for that day which is understandable but later found out there was enough teams in excluding my partner, so my partner failed to go in that day assuming he could have the day off. The reason he needed the day off was because of myself i asked him to have the day off because i needed a break you see we have just become new parents and as you probably know it can become very tiring and I have also been having problems which I have been going back and forth to hospital for, and previous before this incident my partner had been working alot covering standbys etc which he agreed to as he loved his job. So along with being a new parent he was also having pressure at work as he was having to plan his own work which he isn't suppose to be doing as he is a cable jointer, he did express this to management who said they will sort it but not much changed. With everything going on at home and work he also filled out his time sheet wrong which again is breaking a rule even if it wasn't intentional which i understand as this was all in one incident this was 3 rules broken so understandably his contract was terminated. I just wanted to email you so this could be prevented for others my partner was not approached by management when he went back from his leave to question him as to why he didn't turn up for work if they had done so maybe his error on his time sheet could of been prevented as it would of reminded him that he had that day off you see even though he had the day off he was on call in the night so technically he did work some of that day. And also we found out that employees would be given a chance to change their time sheets if an error is found sadly no one gave my partner that chance, if one of these procedures had happened my partner could have possibly still have kept his job i just hope in you reading this email this will it could prevent this from happening to another employee thank you for your time and giving my partner the opportunity to work for your company and becoming a skilled engineer.
