Nancy sent a message to Gary C. Kelly Chairman, President, and CEO, Southwest Airlines Co. that said:
December I contacted SWA.I was 2,279 pts from obtaining Companion ticket status.I was told by your rep, Gisele, that I could purchase 2800 pts for $55 to qualify me. I did. When I called back to ask my status, Sophia told me that was not true, could not give me a refund. She directed be to call a different number (at which time I was put on hold for an hour). I spoke to Brigitte, who told me that by purchasing from partner company, 1800Flowers, three orders of $29.99or more (each order would be 1,000 pts = 3,000 pts) that would qualify me for Companion ticket status, spending $145.95. I just spoke to Betty who told me that no, those points do not apply to Companion status tier. Not only am I out $200, I did not qualify for Companion Status tier because of erroneous information I was given by THREE of YOUR customer service reps. I am now on hold for more than 43 minutes waiting to talk to yet, another Rep. I am surprised at the misinformation I have been given. Southwest has always seemed to be an honorable and customer friendly company.
