@delta – Richard Anderson – Dear Mr. Bastian, We have been Delta fliers for years as well as SkyMiles members

Phyllis sent a message to Richard Anderson that said:

Dear Mr. Bastian,
We have been Delta fliers for years as well as SkyMiles members. We has purchased two business class seats on a direct flight from JFK to Tel Aviv, Israel which was to depart on May 9, 2020. Our confirmation number is #HJNFOC. We paid $9,987.68 for these tickets.
On April, 14, 2020 Delta notified us that our flight had been cancelled. We did not cancel and were prepared to travel. According to DOT regulations, if a flight is cancelled or time changed by more than one hour, the passenger receives a FULL REFUND. Anything less than that is unacceptable to us.
Delta received a stimulus from the government and has no business holding funds of loyal passengers who also need their money in these trying times. We are elderly and unlikely to be able to use an eCredit in the future for the amount of our tickets. In fact, if we do not get a refund, it is unlikely that we will be able to travel again anywhere.
Please have compassion on people whose funds are now tied up with your airline and do the right thing.
