Eric sent a message to Doug McMillon – President and Chief Executive Officer of Walmart Stores, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Doug,
On May 22, I purchased 6 items at a neighboring store (about an hour) because they were the only ones that had that item in stock. When I got home, my wife said a competitor had that item on clearance for much less. I went back to my local store today and they said they could do a price match (although this policy may be discontinued after June 9) but were unable because they did not have that item at their store.
The clerk continued to help other customers and call another store for a "local code". 45 minutes later, to no avail, I left with no adjustment.
I am a loyal Walmart customer and purchase more than 90% of my household goods and groceries from Walmart equaling tens of thousands of dollars a year. What can we do to make this right? The difference was about $10 an item and I purchased 6.
Thank you,
Eric
