Dr. Mr. Nassetta, My husband and I retired this year and we're finally going to start enjoying life. I was hoping to make Hilton a big part of that.
We recently drove from Boston to Ft. Myers, Florida and stayed in 3 different Hampton Inns. All 3 hotels more than met our expectations for a mid priced hotel.
We left Florida on 4/20 for the ride home. We stayed in Kingsland, GA the first night and Wilson, NC the second night. We found both hotels lovely. We were greeted with a warm welcome and given all the information we'd need for an enjoyable stay. The rooms were nice and clean. Bathrooms were immaculate. The gym was nice enough to get a work out with fresh towels and working tv's. Cookies were a nice touch after a long drive.... But most importantly they were CLEAN AND QUIET.
On the 3rd night of our trip home we had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Hampton at Mount Laurel, NJ. This was a mistake and we should have turned around as soon as we walked in.
This hotel is under major construction and your customers should be made aware of this before booking a room. I took pictures that I'm happy to send you. The bathtub was disgusting. We were on the second floor and two doors down from us there was a doorway with half a curtain covering it. Beyond the doorway was where a majority of the construction was being done. Needless to say you could write your name on the dust on the furniture and tv in our room. I listened to my husband wheezing all night from breathing in all the dust. We got there late friday afternoon after driving 9 hours and just wanted to rest. That was impossible because the construction workers were celebrating the end of their work week by having a little party in the back of the Hampton. Music was blaring and 30 packs were broken open.
Seriously?
We may not be wealthy but we've worked hard to see to it that we will enjoy our retirement for as long as our health will allow. In the past year we made "silver" status in your honors program. Our plan is to stay in MA until July and then take a road trip to CA. We had hoped to visit Hampton Inns all along the way.
I don't think it would be easy to get my husband back to a Hampton. He's still coughing and it's been 2 days.
I don't see a place to attach pictures but if you contact me and let me know where to send them, I'm happy to do so.
And BTW.....they didn't even have cookies 🙁
