I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to read my email and I'll try to be brief. My wife and I live our lives in the service of our community, I'm an addiction counselor and student and she is a pubic school teacher. So suffice it to say that our reward is not of the financial sort and we try to provide our two young children with a decent standard of life. That being said, owning a Yamaha YZF-R1 has long been a dream of mine. Last year, after having saved for years, I was able to afford a used 2000 YZF-R1 from a local used motorcycle dealer. It broke down the following year and the shop would discuss the matter with me. For 2 years now I have worked hard to try and fix my R1 as I cannot afford to pay a mechanic and certainly can't afford to buy another R1. It will not hold compression and although I will keep working on it for the next 2 years if I must, I'm hoping that someone from Yamaha engineering might be willing to speak with me and educate me as to what I might try to get it back on the road. I sincerely appreciate any consideration that you might give to my request.
