I am writing this letter as a humble note of appreciation for an outstanding Charter employee.

I want you to know that you have an exceptional employee, Kendall Mullis, in your Childersburg, Alabama office. His knowledge/problem solving skills and his character are rare indeed. We have faced extremely slow and unsatisfactory internet since it was installed over a year ago. We have called and complained numerous times and had other technicians come out and to no avail. The last tech advised us the problem was our slow computer and wifi router. This past weekend we purchased a new computer and upgraded our wifi router. After installation we realized the internet was still at an almost stand still. After scheduling a service call, Kendall Mullis was sent out to our home. He spent 2 days and many hours to ensure that he found our problem. Interestingly enough, our Charter supplied modem was bad and had over 112 timeouts in 2 weeks (per a charter telephone rep), also after it was replaced he discovered the outside box was also an issue. After replacing all of the Charter supplied equipment, Mr. Mullis has restored our faith in Charter internet. My husband can finally complete home office business on our computer.

Now, for the most important part of all of this, Mr. Mullis was at our home while we were at work. My elderly mother was there and let him in. He worked diligently for hours and during the time he was in our home, my mother fell and hit her head on our fireplace. She is 76 years old and can be hardheaded at times. He came back in from outside and looked to see her with blood on her hands and immediately began attending to her. She would not allow him to call for emergency care, she also was not going to call me. She thought she was ok and told him he could leave when he was done. Thankfully, Mr. Mullis decided that he did not want to go against her wishes by calling 911 but also was not willing to leave her alone either. She actually ended up being OK but he stayed until well after 9pm at my home. He talked and sat with her to make sure she seemed to be ok and responding accordingly to their conversation. She finally did call me to let me know she had fell and he stayed until I was home and he could explain what happened and what he had observed with her since the fall. He could have left after seeing that she seemed OK and he most certainly could have left well before I came in but he didnt. He stayed well beyond his work hours and went well above and beyond his duties as a technician. Charter is certainly lucky to have an employee of his caliber and my hope is that you will recognize him for his actions. He is caring, compassionate and a true professional. His qualities are hard to find these days and he is a true asset to your organization. He has made a huge difference in our opinion of Charter. Please accept my gratitude for his actions.

Sincerely,
Meredith Wesson Hughes
