few years ago I bought used 2008 Harley Davidson night rod. I took it to Davies Harley Davidson At Yonge and Highway 7 to change the oil and do a service to be good to ride. Three weeks after I saw that my ABS brake lights start to blink so I took it to the dealership and they told me that is nothing to worry about it happens to all of them they gave me an appointment for 3 weeks after, they told me it safe to ride the bike until then which I did not ride. When I brought it back to the Harley dealership they told me the ABS system has to be replace and it takes three weeks for it to come in. After three weeks they gave me back my bike and a big bill I paid the bill and took the bike home. Before reaching my house I realized I don't have rear brakes... So I took it back . The service manager told me that my rear tire was missing a washer and they didn't know but because of that they fix my bike for free, but I had to wait another 3 weeks the parts come in. Another four weeks for hydraulic systems to come because they're on backorder apparently is in lot of problem with Harliy Davidson and ABS system. I asked the manager what about my summer that is gone wasted because of your negligent, he said " oh well shit happens". I got the bike bake in the end of September.
Two years later I saw same problem my ABS blinking again, first of the June I took my bike to Mackey Harley Davidson I told them my previous experience with Davies Harley Davidson and the problems that I've been having with Abs System After their own investigation to find a problem was same as the one before. He told me will take 2 to 3 weeks for the part to come in. I got the part number so I could order it from US myself and I could get it there sooner which I found out the this part is discontinued Has been replaced by different ones. I let the guys at Macky's Harley Davidson know and I told him to order the parts for me order whatever is needed to fix the bike after three weeks I found out they have not received one of the parts in order. They claim they have shipping order and Harley Davidson Canada has not received the part order. My bike has now been in the shop for 62 days and I don't know when I will be able to get it out and above that I have to pay $3000
Apparently a most Harley Davidson they have ABS system problem and it is really common. If it was a Japanese vehicle it would've been recalled long time ago and all them fixed but because. With that said I don't know what to do anywhere, my Harley dreams have turned into a nightmare and I need your assistance on this.
