Connie Demers sent a message to Abigail Johnson that said:
Hello Ms. Johnson,
I am currently an RIA with Fidelity Investments, and have been with your company for 5 years. In March, I admit that I made a mistake and wire transferred monies from a client's account after receiving an email from the client for the request, and emailing and receiving an IRA distribution form we thought was signed by the client. Once we found the monies were wired in error, I paid the client in whole out-of-pocket. Recently, we received a termination notice from Fidelity that we have 30 days to transfer our clients accounts valued at $100 million to another custodian. I am reaching out to you to see if we can at least have 90 days to transfer our client accounts to another custodian in the midst of the Covid19 pandemic.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
Connie Demers, CFP
