I am a mother and a wife of one of your employees. I will preface this email with... he would not be thrilled with me for emailing. He is loyal and would not dream of cancelling any kind of work trip. However, his territory his in the heart of where the coronavirus is breaking out in California. While I am not an alarmist, I do have a child with asthma. I was wondering if you are considering or would consider having Fidelity employees cancel travel plans to these areas until the current conditions are "weathered". It seems like with video conferencing and the other technologies at our disposal, we would be able to use these tools for a temporary time. I know my husband is not the only employee that would not cancel unless he has a "green light" from the company to do so.
I hope you will earnestly consider halting travel to these areas for the sake of all of our health!
