I took out a loan in 2008, I have faithfully paid every month without being late for 10 years, recently I was contacted and was informed that the loan had matured and I now owed almost $35,000.
I contacted the bank immediately because I didn't understand, I was told it was an interest only loan and the full amount was due. I immediately applied for a loan modification and it has since been approved, however the collections department has reported to the credit reporting agency as a bad debt.
Mr. Carmichael, I have asked the collections several times and have begged them to remove this from my account and they will not help me, your website Boldly states that you are proud to support our Veterans in a variety of ways, well sir I am a veteran and I am pleading with you for your help, I am trying to refinance my current home but my once perfect credit score of over 760 is now 640, this is the only payment i have ever missed.
Sir, if it is with in your power to do so will you please help me with this, all I'm asking is that the negative reporting be removed from my account so that my credit can be restored.
