Bill R sent a message to Kenneth C Hicks that said:

Mr. Kenneth C. Hicks, also known as Ken, served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Foot Locker, Inc. from August 17, 2009 to November 30, 2014

It's sad that I have to bring this to your attention, but I am sure you would like to know what is going on in one of your companies (Eastbay).

I received a Phishing email that apparently your Customer Service and Legal teams know all about and can do nothing about.

In an attempt to prevent others from falling prey to this scam, I told one of of our CSRs that i would leave a 1 Star review on Yelp as I was basically doing their job. He couldn't have cared less.... so,

I left a 1 Star review on Yelp (it is replete with 1 star reviews as you can see here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/eastbay-wausau-2?hrid=BxQXWI-kQeZ4MSBqN6mR7g

Here is the review:

This company is very lax and "ho-hum" to say the least about the fact that there is an apparently well-known and documented email Phishing scam using their company name to try to swindle people.

The first "Customer Service" person one I spoke to was a complete joke, just parroting to "delete the email, there is nothing we can do about it" several times.

When I asked her if she was aware of their dismal Yelp rating, she asked if there was "anything else she could do for me" in a very annoyed tone, to which I replied "You can answer my question...."

She replied that it was not her job to look at their Yelp Rating (I could literally hear her rolling her eyes over the phone), so I asked her to transfer me to someone "whose job it is to worry about their 1.5 Star Yelp rating."

The 2nd "Customer Service" rep I spoke to said they get "hundreds of calls about this every day" and that their legal department is "doing what they can" to remedy but that "it can't be remedied, so just delete it."

I asked this "Customer Service" Rep if he was aware of the Yelp rating and he just impatiently told me to delete the email and not click on any of its links as it is a Phishing attempt (duh?!?!?)

I asked why they had not proactively informed their public that this is going on, to not respond top the email that it was not done by them and that they are doing what they can to remedy it. Such a warning should have been one of the first items that came up in a Google search.

He was clueless that one could even do that.

I told him I was going to leave a 1 star rating comment on Yelp with the exact email I received to warn others since they are not doing anything about it.

He replied he would "pass my concerns along to others in the company" and then had the nerve to ask if there was anything else he could "help" me with.....

I found that others have received THIS EXACT EMAIL, so here it is:

Then they provide a button labeled "Cancel Now"

The scam is they hope you will click on "Cancel Now" and inevitably they will "Require" you to enter your PayPal info so they drain your PayPal Account, so don't click on the cancel button or any other link.

Contact the Eastbay Store using the tel # above and let them know this phishing email was received and delete it without clicking on any links, etc.

Here is a link to a complaint from another person who received the EXACT SAME EMAIL to the Daniel H Schulman, the head of Eastbay per emailtheboss.org:

@dan_schulman – Daniel H Dan Schulman – Sir, I have recently been receiving daily emails with reference your company. Sir Please make

Sorry for the long review - hopefully this will prevent others from getting scammed on this. What I am really sorry about is having to do Eastbay's job for them.....
