I sold my 2014 Ford Mustang on April 27th, 2017 and my Ford Explorer (Eddie Bauer) 2010, on May 5th.
I went to the dealer on May 08, 2017, where I had bought an extended warranty for the mustang to cancel the warranty and get my refund. They told me that Ford was the one to give me my refund and I would have to wait 3 - 4 weeks. After waiting 6 weeks, I went back to the dealer, Basil Ford, on Niagara Falls Blvd, in Niagara Falls, NY, and he supposedly canceled it a second time. Still not have my refund on the mustang, even with Ford telling me that the dealer gives the refund and they talked to the dealer. Ford told me that the dealer was told to refund me on June 10, 2017. Still no refund.
I then went in on May 8, 2017 to cancel the Explorer as I had turned it in on a 2017 Lincoln Contintenal. The dealer told me that the warranty contract had expired. As I did not have the warranty with me and went home to find it. Went back around the middle of May with the contract, which was bought on March 20, 2017, and he was still telling me that the contract had expired and he could not cancel the new one. I went home and called Ford again and they said that there was a glitch and they started a case #CAS-12589450. They told me to call back within 5 - 7 days. Seven days would be Monday July 03, 2017. According to the gentleman I talked to at Ford, I am owed $628.92 on the mustang and the majority of the warranty on the Explorer, as it was bought on Mar 20, 2017 and I tried to cancel it with dealer, twice since May 8, 2017. Please help me to get my money. I cannot afford to give up nearly $2,400.00. I lost my husband and I am on a limited budget.
I know I will never deal with dealer ever again. I bought those warranties in good faith and expected to get my money back when I canceled them.
I love my Lincoln but I don\'t think I will ever buy and esp warranty again.
