June sent a message to Gerard M. Anderson – Chief Executive Officer of DTE Energy Company – Email Address that said:
Gerard, I have been a loyal customer of yours for over 20 years. Recently I have purchased my first house. Have contacted DTE for a number of issues
1) having the power turned on for a home inspection. I did not own the house at the time. DTE told me I needed to put 160.00 deposit down. Which will be refunded to me in a year. Really did not understand why I needed to put a deposit down on a house I did not own. ( I already have an account with your company for my current address.)
2) After I bought the house. Your company called me and proceeded to tell me that I needed a gas meter. I needed the furnace checked and asked if the furnace could be inspected as well. DTE told me I could, did a repair ticket for me. The repair man arrived at my future home and proceeded to tell me that you do not do furnace checks.
3) called a heating and cooling company to have the furnace checked. Since DTE doesn't do that. Had to have the Furnace and a new A/C put in. The A/C unit had been stolen. The A/C unit had been cut at the powerbox. The wires were still live. which could have killed someone or caught the house on fire. DTE remote started it. Dont you think you should check out houses that have been vacant for over a year?
4) At the same time for that I made the apt for the electrical wires. Needed to make another ticket to have the powerlines raised a foot. Was unable to even get ahold of anyone to give me a ticket number. Finally was able to contact someone after an hour. (only because I wanted a supervisor) After 3 weeks of waiting to have the power lines lifted. One of your customer service people told me that your company does not address outside powerlines. Only underground lines. Really?
So I feel you should refund my deposit immediately because I need to pay the people who have provided me with customer service and repairs. You have failed to provide any services or customer service. All DTE has done is given me the complete run around. Not to mention being on hold for over 30 minutes each time I have to call.
