Felicia sent a message to David V. Auld – President and Chief Executive Officer of D.R. Horton Inc. – Email Address that said:
Good Afternoon Mr. Auld,
I know that homeowner's probably would not go directly to the CEO of a company but I certainly feel that this is my last resort. Last October, when there was a flood in Columbia, SC our dining room leaked and the work order was put in on 10/15/15 and eventually had a status of being closed (but no repairs occured). The only thing the workers did was come to look at our home on four different occasions and telling us that it would be complete with our ten month warranty work. Well when Hurricane Matthew came through this year it rained again in our our dining room and into the arch way. We woke up that morning to our brand new dining room table and buffet with bubbles in them because of the water that was on it. I've had at least 10-15 emails, phone calls, two visits and they said that they made repairs to the gutters but wont fix the inside of our home until we have another storm (huge rain). This is TOTALLY unacceptable as what if a huge rain (hurricane, etc.) doesn't occur until a year or so from now. They've even replaced my front door of my home and still have not painted the white door to match our shutters. I'm extremely discouraged! I'm stressed out with headaches because we pay to much for our home to not to be able to enjoy it. I'm not entertaining for the Thanksgiving holiday because my dining room is messed up as well as my table and I feel like we have been totally neglected and it's hurtful! I truly need your help. Thank you in advance. Felicia
