Mary Robinson sent a message to Barbara Rentler - Chief Executive Officer of Ross Stores - Email Address that said:

Good Afternoon Ms. Rentler,
Im emailing to report an unfortunate incident at your store #0992 in Houston TX. My coworker and I often go on our lunch hour to your store. Today there was only one register open, during the lunch time, which is generally busy. The line was getting longer and longer. I saw the loss prevention guy talking with another employee. I asked if they could call the Manager or someone else to open another register. The employee told me in a condescending tone to Be Patient and concluded his conversation with Loss Prevention person. I have never been spoken to like that by any store employee. He then proceeded to the register to assist other customers. I was out done to see an employee that could assist customers hold conversation with another employee and make their customers WAIT. I became angry and put my purchases down when the loss prevention employee was beckoning me to proceed to the register. I said that was alright I didnt want to buy anything, he said well BYE rudely. I said BYE. I patronize Ross very frequently for years and would like to think that I am a valued customer. I called an reported this incident to the store manager Patrick, who was apologetic and said he would speak to his employees, however I felt compelled to let you know what kind of treatment I received at your store. My coworker remained in the store to purchase her items, and she said they were saying unflattering things about me regarding the incident. Most customer service oriented businesses would have apologized for the wait and immediately moved to remedy the complaint. I am a hard working single parent that choose ROSS for value and quality. I would hope you value me as a customer and would find someway to show me, as I am not feeling very valued today. Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Mary Robinson
