Dr. Felder sent a message to Carlos Ghosn – Chairman and CEO, Renault – Email Address that said:
Good Day Sir, Infiniti has had my leased vehicle for 119 days. I am still making payments and even had to rent a vehicle. I have a corporate lease of a 2016 Infiniti QX80 from Zeigler Infiniti of Orland Park (Illinois) on June 29. On June 30th the vehicle was returned for crash avoidance warning system activation which caused the deceleration of the vehicle while in heavy traffic. I returned the vehicle on June 30th awaiting repair. In the interim their service rep took the vehicle for a test drive and encountered the same deceleration problem. He said, "I was driving 70 mph and the vehicle decelerated and I was scared to death." The dealer requested a Nissan corporate tech evaluation who deemed there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and the Infiniti service tech was wrong. I believe the truck is not safe. The service tech said, he was afraid. We have requested a new vehicle and have been waiting a response since June 30th. I have been without my vehicle and I continue to make payments. We have a case and no response to date. The dealer has indicated we must pay an additional $10k to terminate the contract in order to lease the same model. I have been a loyal customer for 12 yrs. I have a wife and 2 children and the truck I leased is defective. I was told there have been recalls on select VIN #s of this model. I need your assistance to bring resolution to what I deem is an easy fix but is not from the Infiniti team. I know you are busy. Please appoint someone to my case. I am frustrated and extremely disappointed at the lack of urgency regarding my safety, my family's safety, others on the road and my request. Respectfully, Dr. Felder
