Gordee sent a message to Gregory L. Henslee – Chief Executive Officer and President of O’Reilly Automotive Inc. – Email Address that said:
Good Morning! I am the office manager for A. G. O'BRIEN PLUMBING AND HEATING CO., 4907 Lightning Drive, Hermantown, MN 55811 and I wanted to let you know about a company that you had work for you for the new construction of an O'Reilly Auto Parts Store. We were hired by Lagestee-Mulder, Inc., to complete the fire protection portion of the project in July of 2014. We were complete in November of 2014. They are still holding 10% retainage on this project. They said they were in a dispute with OReilly, but that in January of 2016 a settlement had been reached and we would have our final payment by 4/15/16. (The original retainage amount is $1,125.00 and with accumulated interest is now $1,470.76.) Now Allen Morris, who is the Senior Vice President, will not answer my e-mails or my phone calls. We are turning his company into our collection agency, but just wanted to let you know what kind of a construction company you hired. I certainly understand that you are not personally involved with projects like this. We do a lot of your fire protection yearly inspections in the Duluth, MN and Superior, WI area and are always paid by the companies that hire us to do that work for you. Just wanted to give you a heads up on this outfit. Thank you for your time to read this.
