Amy sent a message to Dan Schulman – President and CEO of PayPal – Email Address that said:
Good Morning,
I'm sure you have received thousands of these letters/emails and the odds of this email ever making it to your desk no less you reading this is merely impossible.
It is extremely unfortunate that the events surrounding PayPal's decision to withdraw opening an office in North Carolina due to the new HB2 law.
As many others have probably said, and what I believe the public is looking for from you is that (PalPal) hold true to their beliefs you publicly stated when you withdrew from opening an office in NC.
currently, 12 countries which you currently do business in and/or have offices/employees in openly discriminate and some will imprison/kill gay people. Yet, no word from you/PalPal on that.
I think it is only fair that you address the concerns thoughts of the American citizens, the majority of people who indirectly made you rich!
You seem to not care about the majority of people who were in favor of this HB2 bill? you say you dont support discrimination but what about the majority of straight people who were in favor of the bill??? had the bill not been past, that would be discrimination against them. your'e ok with that???
I do hope that millions of people cancel their paypal accounts to send a message that we the people are the rule makers and not big corporations.
I truly hope to hear back from you, although very unexpected. Nonetheless, I will keep a glimmer of hope that I will
Regards,
a Concerned citizen.
