James sent a message to James E. Meyer CEO, Sirius XM Radio Inc. – email address that said:
Good Morning Mr. Meyer.
A little over ten years ago, I purchased a new Jetta VW and bought a 'Life Time" subscription to Satellite radio. It was a little expensive, but was told it was for my life time, so I paid the money. Yesterday, I transfer the subscription, after much "confusion" ,to my new vehicle, I remembered that I would have to pay a transfer fee, which I paid via my credit card and the transfer was successful.
However, the lady who worked with me on this, told me that you no long sell "life time" subscriptions and therefor that she was marking my account so that I could not transfer this service if I changed vehicles in the future. . I told her that I didn't agree with those terms, that I was sold a "life time" subscription and was told it was for my life time and not just for the VW.. I fully understand why you no longer sell "life time" subscriptions, this might have been before the big merger, but, nevertheless, it was sold to me and I paid for it.
Probably, most of the good folks in your support center didn't work for your company a decade ago and are not familiar with what happened then.
I am asking for your help in updating my account so that, if I live long enough to purchase another vehicle, I will be able to transfer my satellite ratio subscription, as I did yesterday, with only the payment of a transfer fee.
Thank you for your attention and assistance in this matter.
James
