John sent a message to Michael O’Leary – CEO, Ryanair – Email Address that said:

Good morning Mr. O'leary, I am hoping that you can help me out with a big problem. My wife is currently in Lithuania visiting her mither, who was very I'll in hospital with kidney failure, but has no been released for dialysis. This morning she was trying to book return flights from Bristol to Kaunas for Her and our son between the 24th of December and 2nd of January to spend Christmas with her mother , for who despite the dialysis the prognosis is not very optimistic. She made an error and booked the flights the wrong way around, so flying from Kaunas to Bristol when she wanted to fly from Bristol to Kaunas and vice versa. She has been in touch with customer services and they have explained the no cancellation policy to her and advised that the £280 she has paid is forfeit and she would need to pay an additional £590 to secure the flights she requires. At this time of the year with Christmas approaching, we cannot afford that extra expense. I am not a fan of a sob story myself, it is why I don't watch the X Factor, but could you please see if there is anything you can do - outside of your normal policies to help my wife and son take what might be their last opportunity to spend Christmas with their mother and grandmother please? PS I voted remain and am now taking up my Irish citizenship and passport.

Best regards

John
