Good morning, Mr O’Leary
I would welcome your reaction this appeal which fell on deaf ears elsewhere in Ryanair.
With thanks

I have just received the allocated seat and that of my wife,
We have flown Ryanair to France, Ireland, Spain, Germany and Sweden since the airline began international flights, usually more than once each year. For the first time ever, our allocated seats are not together – indeed at 8A and 28A they are twenty rows apart. My wife is 83 and I am 78. We obviously help each other in travelling. Can we not have seats together?
Viktoria 11:50 am
I can change your seats so you can sit together. I will have to change both of the seats as those rows are fully booked. You can sit in row 9 e and f and in total it costs 12 pounds to change the seats
AJ to VS
Does that mean that the only way to avoid getting seated 20 rows apart is to pay £12? Is this now Ryanair policy
VS to AJ S
I am afraid we cannot allocate seats free of charge , and higher prices apply after you completed the online check in and got free randomly allocated seats
Alwyn :58 am
The seats were not randomly allocated. It is the first time in perhaps 50 years that this has happened and that is not a coincidence. These seats must have been available when we checked in. It seems to be a device for getting people to pay extra.
VS to AJ 12:01 pm
The system randomly allocates seats for the passengers. If you do the online check in at the same time there is a chance that the system will allocate you together but it is still not guaranteed
AJ to VS 12:01 pm
Is there any higher level to which we can appeal against this unacceptable allocation?
VS to AJ
If you wish you can call our call center : h from But I am afraid they will tell you the same thing. If you do not purchase seats the system randomly allocates you

No thanks. goodbye
