Suzette sent a message to Kent J. Thiry – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. – Email Address that said:
Good morning Mr. Thiry,
My name is Suzette. I am a LPN and a former employee of DaVita. I was hired in March 2015 and March 2016 completed 1 yr service with DaVita. I am no longer an employee at DaVita and I am ok with that but I would like to share a concern with you. I was terminated on Aug 10th, 2016 for supposedly being insubordinate, refusing to work at another clinic. I have never been reprimanded for being insubordinate or any other reason. Although after repeated attempts asking for help on my cannulation skills I did let my anger get the best of me which resulted in my termination. I'm simply writing to express my concerns nothing more nothing less. I truly enjoyed my job, I enjoyed my patients being able to render a service to them to help them with such a difficult illness(kidney failure). I tried every day to model the core values of DaVita. Integrity, Team, Excellence, Fulfillment, Fun, Continuous Improvement and lastly my favorite Accountability. My belief is that every individual should be held accountable for his/here actions. Before my termination I followed the chain of command as instructed. I reached out to Kim Fields and then Lynne Fernandez via emails and phone calls to share concerns but neither responded. Clearly this should not have been the actions of people in supervisory roles even if they were planning on terminating me. They should have reached out and communicated something with me. I called people services to file a complaint and shared information with them. I have to say I was happy with the overall help from people services and I understood completely their position they in return understood mine. Mr. Thiry I say all of this to say that my situation was not an isolated incident. Trae the FA is not a fair person. He is a very vindictive person and he continues to be even after he terminated me for something he ultimately caused. My understanding is filed complaints against his behavior continue to grow as I'm emailing you. This is not about revenge its about recognizing a problem and fixing it. If my story can help at least one person from being wrongfully terminated then it helps me to cope. I really appreciate this app you provided to allow people like me to reach out to you.
Thanks,
Suzette
