Good morning Sir, I am emailing you with a great concern, In 2013 I purchased – Akio Toyoda email address

Jeffrey sent a message to Akio Toyoda President and CEO, Toyota Motor Corporation – email address that said:

Good morning Sir,
I am emailing you with a great concern, In 2013 I purchased a 2002 Toyota Tacoma. This was a truck I had wanted for a number of years and finally had the financial stability to buy one. I found out in April of 2014 there was a recall for the ball joints, so I contacted Jim Toyota (Asheville NC) to have the service done. They informed me of another recall on the frame of this year truck and told me they would inspect the frame while they had it there. I agreed to this , they also told me I had a fifteen year warranty on the frame from the date the truck was "in use" which would make my warranty valid until 2017. They also told me at any time I could bring the truck back to have the frame checked at no charge until the warranty expired. Recently I noticed some surface rust on the frame and upon further inspection found several holes rusted through the frame and called immediately to set up an additional appointment to have the frame rechecked. Once I got off the phone with Jim Toyota with my appointment date I felt assured that this issue would be resolved. Shortly after I got off the phone The representative that set up my appointment called me back to inform me I had no warranty on the frame due to a coating that wasn't sprayed on the frame. He was very helpful in directing me to Toyota to see if they would honor the warranty. I called the number he gave me and they assigned me a case number  The next day I received a call from Nichole simply stating there was nothing they could do. My first concern is that my truck was covered by the warranty two years ago by a Toyota Dealership ( Jim Barkley Toyota). My second concern is that when I had my frame inspected two years ago they never mentioned anything about a coating in any way. When I purchased this truck I had planned on driving it for many years only to find out my time with it is very limited. I also sent another email to Toyota Corporate on 10/17/2016 voicing my concerns. I haven't heard back from them yet. I'm not asking for any cash buyback for the simple reason that I LOVE my Toyota Tacoma. All I'm asking is for Toyota in good conscience to replace my frame. Thank you for your time in this matter. Sincerely, Jeff
