Lawrence sent a message to Richard Fairbank – Chairman and CEO, Capital One – Email Address that said:
Greeting Mr. Fairbank:
Hello sir, the reason for this email is in regards to my recent experience with a few members of your customer service staff on July 16. I spoke with two online chat supervisors Karen and Ramon.
I contacted them in regards to a thirty day delinquent payment which reported to the three major credit bureaus. While I admit that it was reported accurately, there is an explanation. However, each time I explained my situation I got the same canned responses (even by the supervisors I spoke with).
Briefly, the situation was that I had my bank account set up to auto pay a certain amount on my monthly balance. Sometime down the line, I used the credit card and the payments increased. Unfortunately an unintentional oversight on my part I never increased the automatic payments through my bank. The underpayments where eventually reported as a past due payment. Now please understand, if my credit was not as important and it is to me I would never have taken the time to contact you but it is. Capital One is the only late payment to ever appear on my credit bureau file and it is truly exasperating as I am sure you would understand. As I've stated to the representatives and the supervisors I've never been late prior to the reporting nor after.
Im reaching out to you for assistance or assistance from your staff to possibly help me with this. Ive been a loyal customer for ten (10) years with only this hiccup. If your office or staff can be of any assistance I would be very grateful.
Thank you in advance for addressing this concern and if there is any further information I can provide to let me know. My information is listed below.
