Greetings, Im Derrick. I have a major issue with a Harley-Davidson that I purchased it is a 2008 Screamin Eagle flhtcuse3, I purchased the bike at Lane splitter Harley-Davidson in San Jose California this is my first time ever purchasing anything from any dealer whatsoever including Harley Davidson, automobile or anything. The reason I bought the bike is because the finance department and the sales rep told me that the engine was rebuilt by Harley-Davidson and had only 2000 miles after the rebuild, and this would be the best bike for me to start on . I rode the bike 6 times within 7 weeks, the bike turned off while I was riding going 25 miles an hour in second gear I contacted the dealer that I bought it from they came to pick me up they evaluated the bike and two weeks later I went back to see what was wrong they said that the engine was dead and that if I wanted the bike back I would have to pay diagnostic fee as well as a new engine and possible transmission. I paid the fees and had the bike towed to my house in pieces. I asked them what about the coverage I have and they stated to me I had no coverage whatsoever then I asked them or what about the engine being rebuilt and only haven't 2000 miles on it . at that time they told me that they had no idea what I was talking about. I have been making my payments for more than 7 months without being able to ride the bike. I've contacted a few other dealers to see what I can do as well as customer service and the only answer I keep getting is that it's my responsibility to rebuild or buy a new engine I am highly frustrated being stuck with having two spending over $18,000 on something that I cannot even ride or enjoy. I still keep the bike very clean without any scratches dings or dents . I do not want to stop making payments because that will mess up my credit which I worked so hard for many years to build and I have other bills and family to take care of I am all out of options and disappointed and frustrated about this situation because the dealer will not work with me in any way. I have been loyal with my payments but I have not been treated Fair whatsoever. They are lanesplitter Harley-Davidson in San Jose California please please please help me...
