Dorothy sent a message to William T. Dillard II – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dillard’s Inc. – Email Address that said:
Greetings Mr. Dillard.
You are receiving this email because I am outraged about an online purchase I made on December 27th.
I purchased Ugg boots online that are today, January 1st 50% off. I immediately phone system the customer service department to to get benefit of sale only to be told corporate changed the policy 1 month ago and benefit of sale could not be granted. Yes, I am very upsethankful and if I lived near a Dillard's store I would return them immediately. I am however, going to send the boots back to Dillard's and purchase the boot from Nordstrom.
I am sharing this post with Nordstrom and family because I shop there frequently and they know I share my concerns although with Nordstrom they are few. It does not feel good to be taken for granted as a customer and my return of items is a matter of principle. I am ending my relationship with Dillard's and moving forward. I am just one person so I will not bankrupt your organization. However, I am going to share this experience via the website to alert others of this policy.
It is my hopes that you will rectify this matter with me, and would like to give you an opportunity. If not, the merchandise will be returned and I will shop other stores.
Thanking you in advance for your attention to this urgent matter.
Dorothy
