TOM GIBBONS sent a message to Andrew Witty that said:
Dear Ms. Walmsley:
I read in Barron's that GSK and Sanofi are working to develop a Covid-19 vaccine.
I've e-mailed the U.S. Surgeon General, the White House, and a number of experts (largely epidemiologists) with a recommendation - testing chloroquine in combination with primaquine. My reasoning is explained below.
I'm a retired CPA, and I've read a lot about the coronavirus. I haven't found any mention of primaquine from the National Institutes of Health (only as it relates to malaria) or other sources.
I'm sending this recommendation to you for your consideration.
I wish you much success in developing a Covid-19 vaccine.
Thank you.
Tom Gibbons

The e-mails that I sent previously included the following:
The U.S. government awarded Pharmaceutical Product Development a contract to study hydrochloroquine and chloroquine as a possible treatment for COVID-19. I recommend that chloroquine be studied in combination with primaquine.
I've read that chloroquine, an antimalarial drug, may work against the COVID-19 virus by blocking infection. In addition, it may serve as a treatment for the virus.
I served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from December 1969 to December 1970. We took both chloroquine and primaquine to prevent or treat malaria. As I understand it, chloroquine was used to kill malaria parasites living inside red blood cells, while primaquine served this purpose for other body tissues. As such, I'm suggesting TESTING CHLOROQUINE IN COMBINATION WITH PRIMAQUINE SINCE ONE ADDRESSES PARASITES INSIDE RED BLOOD CELLS, WHILE THE OTHER DEALS WITH PARASITES IN OTHER BODY TISSUES.
Iâm sending this recommendation to experts like you for your consideration.
Thank you. Tom Gibbons
