Patti Lovell sent a message to Milton Johnson that said:
Dear Mr Johnson
I realize emailing you will probably insure I won\'t get a position with HCA. However, I feel it is important that you know what goes on in the corporation. I recently was hired to take a position as a practice manager with HCA to help increase business in a Homosassa Florida walk in clinic. During the hiring process the emails to complete my hire were going to a spam email that I did not realize. Once straightened out I was able to complete and was ready to start on Monday, October 12. Five minutes before walking out the door we received a phone call my father n law passed away and we had to go to Chicago. I let Valerie Sweet, the area practice manager know immediately. I made a "figure of speech" comment that it seemed this job wasn\'t meant to be because it seemed like there kept being barricades from letting me get started. I meant nothing by it and let Valerie know that. I kept in close contact while away and actually made it to Chicago took care of the arrangements and was back by Thursday evening. I let her know I could start immediately. I received a phone call from Valerie stating they were moving on and hiring someone else. She stated that she felt I didn\'t want the job and I had explained in previous emails to her I did and this was an unfortunate circumstance.
I have since emailed her, Justin McComber from the corpiorate office, and the director of operations Eric Rhinehart with only a response from Mr Rhinehart stating he would get back in touch with me and thanked me for letting him know what was happening. At this point, I haven\'t heard back from him as of yet.
I have been a practice manager for over twenty years and am very successful with producing high revenue. I have overseen practice managers as well.
Seriously I do not feel it is justified for me to lose the position and would appreciate any help in attaining a position with HCA.
Currently I am now unemployed which I feel is unfair to me.
I\'m sorry but how many times can I tell the area practice manager I wanted the position. I feel she wanted to give the job to someone else and used any excuse not to let me start. I could see if I wasn\'t hired to give the position away, but not when you are already hired with a starting date.
My question to this is she truly qualified to be an area practice manager. How do you change your mind midstream and leave people unemployed after they leave their present job?
I was under the impression HCA went by their mission statement. I wasn\'t even given a chance to show my work ethics and I am very disappointed in the way things have turned out.
Thank you for taking the time to read my email and I appreciate any advice or help you can give regarding the above matter.
I look forward to hearing from you.
