We are experiencing a desperate situation with HealthNet, thus, I am taking desperate measures to get this addressed. I work for a small gastroenterology practice and endoscopy center in California. Over the past year, HealthNet has been unable to pay our contracted rates and in addition to this, HealthNet sends haphazard EOPs often starting with unexplained negative balances. The employees HealthNet has in claims department points the finger to PaySpan who points the finger back to the claims department. Thus, putting our practice (along with others after taking about this at practice meetings) in a precarious situation just to try to get our claims paid according to our contracts. Every time we are given an accounts person, they acknowledge the problems, promise a call back and resolution, but they disappear. We have gone through 5. This is in violation of our contracts and is costing our practice too much valuable time and money. We are considering breaking contract, which will leave Healthnet with out gastroenterology care for 50 miles north of San Francisco. I hope you can help.
Sincerely,
Jenna Dwyer
