Yesterday I submitted a letter to Will V. at the Health Net Appeals and Grievances Department (HN Reference Nos. MCRC-250128 and MCRC-237346) detailing issues I experienced in obtaining timely diagnosis and treatment for a torn ACL and meniscus. These grievances are about my particular situation, but they are also representative of a larger issue likely impacting significant numbers of Health Net policyholders where Health Net is allowing sub-contractors to negligently deny and delay medically necessary services ordered by a physician and where Health Net is selling plans in communities without establishing a reasonable network of providers in the area while at the same time representing to customers that such a network exists. I'm unable to attach a copy of the letter here, but I do hope you will locate a copy from Will V. and read it as I believe you should understand what appear to be systemic issues that are negatively impacting Health Net's customers and ultimately Health Net's reputation.
