Linda sent a message to Barbara Rentler – Chief Executive Officer of Ross Stores – Email Address that said:
I am contacting you because I think that you care about the perceptions of your stores. Ross stores are only as good as their Managers and their employees.
Your Houston store #0330 does not exemplify what I think that you would expect of one of your stores.
After shopping for over an hour at your store, I went to check out. At that time there were 18 people in front of me. There were 2 cashiers on a Saturday afternoon. When we asked for the mgr, Mahindra came out and told us that he was doing "the best he could do". We asked why he would only have 2 cashiers on a Sat afternoon and he gave us the same response. As I moved closer to the cashier, I, and another customer, heard 1 of the cashiers, Shay say, "if they don't want to wait, they (meaning your customers) can just leave".
WOW...that is some special kind of service, and really inducive to a return visit to the store.
If you find this is acceptable behavior, than I will not expect a response from you.
