Kelly sent a message to Dan Schulman – President and CEO of PayPal – Email Address that said:
Hello Dan,
I have been a valued customer of Symantec (Norton). I want to renew Norton, but at the price on the Norton website which is lower than If I renew early on the existing subscription. I contacted Norton and have a copy of our chat. I am disappointed they were not willing to help me. Why the inconvenience? Why wasn't he able to help me? I wanted you to be aware to resolve this issue. Here is a copy of our chat. I copied and pasted our chat.
Herb R: You are aware that you do place your order yourself on the Norton website? We do not take orders by phone nowMe: The renewal price is moreMe: Do I have to let it expire?Me: And then repurchase?Herb R: You can make a purchase from our website at anytime...however that subscription starts the day you purchaseMe: Why is the renewal price more?Herb R: The renewal prices are coded into your system weeks in advance and may not reflect more recent sales that have been implementedMe: So it is best to let it expire.Herb R: Just remember that sales pricing is subject to change without notice.Me: And repurchase it under the lower price. Herb R: Thanks for visiting Norton today.Me: Can you give it to me for the same low price as it is today?Herb R: If you mean when your current subscription expires...no. Pricing will be whatever it is at that time.Me: You cannot give it to me for this price? Do you value your customers? I have been a customer for many years. Herb R: I can not substitute a price from our website for your renewal. You certainly are able to purchase from the website if you wish to. You may also call Customer support, they may be able to make that price substitution for youMe: ok, would you be able to send a copy of our chat to my email?Herb R: I am not able to sorry. I do wish to ensure you understand that in terms of pricing our sales location can not alter the prices that have been preset by our Marketing dept. That is something reserved for only Customer Support to do and why I have referred you to them to check.
