To formerly introduce myself, my name is Tim Phoenix and I am from Binghamton N.Y... I have been living in Hollywood, California for the last 20 years. I graduated from Chenango Forks in 1994 and was recently inducted into their Hall Of Fame. I have been the subject of many Press Sun Bulletin newspaper articles as well as local TV News over the years due to my work on big budget movies working on special effects. Any success that Ive had to represent our home town of Binghamton does not come close to that of you and Thomas Tull in all of your endeavors. Now a days, I spend my time focusing on a specific project with my writing partner Sandy Plute. Shes a writer here in LA but a native of Pittsburgh. Together, we are the creators of a puppet character named “TRIPPY The Clown." Weve written a horror script that revolves around “Trippy” and were gearing up production. The momentum is already fierce with Tony Todd, a very well known actor playing one of the lead roles. I thought of you first for this project to come on board as one of the films financiers. It would be an investment for you and the returns will come after the movie is released in theaters and accumulates profits. Your money would be going toward the production of the movie and marketing. We would have a production manager in constant contact with you and giving daily updates of the filmings progress. Of course you would also get a "Producer" credit. If you are interested, your attorney and our attorney would thoroughly work out a fair agreement to settle the deal. There will be other investors as well to make this film the best potential it can be. The main reason I thought to ask you is because of our home town connection and your smart business sense. I will be in Binghamton through Christmas, but then I will be in Pittsburgh visiting Sandy and her family just after Christmas. If you would like to have dinner (on me) and talk more in detail one day or evening, I would love to. I do realize business deals like these require much conversation. This movie is an obvious money maker and "TRIPPY The CLOWN" already has a vast, worldwide fan base, so were ahead of the game. This storys formula will bring nostalgia to the audience reminiscent of past great horror films. The force of this project is escalating with many irons in the fire so we felt it was the perfect time to reach out to you. The beauty about Trippy is that his design is already masterminded and complete with me and some of the best effects guys in the world bringing my puppet to life. Logline: Teenagers dig up a ventriloquist case that holds a cursed clown puppet that wants revenge for the past.
“TRIPPY” is a cross between Chucky and Pennywise from Stephen Kings “IT." This psychological horror is written along the lines of a teen age slasher movie with a clever tale. The story is about Trippy, who was the headlining ventriloquist act with a traveling carnival in the 70s. A horrible incident happened in a small town that left Trippy buried by 3 teenage boys. After 40 years, a new group of teens dig up the case that holds the maniacal clown. Trippy enraged, avenges his past leaving behind a bloodbath of murder and mayhem.
