Susan sent a message to Michael L. Corbat CEO, Citigroup Inc. – email address that said:
Hello Mr. Corbat,
I had a citicard for 7 years with citibank. I loved being a customer of citibank, but last year I was treated so badly by your protocol/customer service. I am very disappointed in the manner they handled my account by closing it without trying to work something out with me to satisfy the balance that was owed! I was experiencing some difficulties/hardship; but mind you I paid my bill diligently each month on or before it was due. I know I have a very high balance, but I never missed a "minium due", and quite a few times I tripled or doubled the "balance due". You see I had a family member who took my account over and made sure I was not going to go in collections. But now that family member refuses to pay for a credit card balance that is "CLOSED". I am sorry the account is closed, because by NOW it would have been reduced to a much lower unpaid balance. In compendium, I can only pay $25 monthly...and I already know that will not reduce the balance owed, but it is all I can afford at this time. I spoke to "Pratik-IRB1936" today 8/1/2016. He told me they cannot reset my online account because my account is closed even though I was still paying up till July, 2016! THAT TO ME IS SPITEFUL ....Therefore, Mr. Corbat, I am disputing this balance owed. Thank you for your time of service.
