JEFFREY sent a message to Daniel Dan Gilbert chairman and founder of Rock Ventures email address that said:
Hello Mr. Gilbert. I would like to relate to you an unpleasant and disappointing experience I had at a recent Cavaliers home game. I was at the game as a part of the Twinsburg boys recreational basketball league. Our league was invited to play their championship game on the Quicken Loans floor. After the Cavaliers game ended my family and I were trying to figure out where we should assemble to watch the game. I approached an usher working in the lower section of your arena. As I tried to ask him if he could offer me any help with directions on where we might sit he repeatedly pointed at the exit and told me I had to get out of the arena because the game was over. He didn't take the time to hear my question and didn't seem concerned with offering any type of assistance what so ever. How foolish of me. I thought his job was to help people trying to find their way through your arena. Apparently I don't know what an ushers job is. Or maybe he doesn't understand what an ushers job is. This man was rude, arrogant and dismissive. Not good qualities to have when dealing with 18,000 people on a regular basis. I'm only sorry I didn't get his name. My advice to your staff would be to not talk over people and point to the exits when they need customer service. Considering that my family and I can only manage to get to one or two games a year I was hoping for a beer experience. I want to commend you for the fine job you have done with the Cavaliers and with other ventures around the city. Too bad some of your employees haven't learned much from you.
