Hillary sent a message to Robert Iger Chairman and CEO, The Walt Disney Company Email Address that said:
Hello Mr. Iger,
My name is Hillary, your waitress this evening at Launderette. On the off chance that you actually receive this, I wanted to take a moment to let you know that I spent the better part of two months on a stock project highlighting your work at Disney, and that you are the best thing to happen to Disney since Disney himself. Of course, you don't need me to tell you that, but I will anyway, and it was the highlight of my year to take care of you and yours.
Seeing as how you were enjoying an evening out with your family, it felt highly inappropriate to draw any attention away from that personal time. At Launderette, calling attention to one's "celebrity" status is frowned upon; not to mention, for us true Texans, it's just not how things are done down South. That said, I'd be remiss to avoid mentioning your importance in the business/technology world, and I most certainly didn't want you to think that a student of business could wait on you for the better part of two hours and not know exactly who you are. Your wife is just lovely, and her reputation proceeds her as well. Your sons are such gentlemen--the younger one was a hoot with his love of root beer, and if your oldest decides to attend The University of Texas, I know UT would be the better for it.
Anyway, this evening was my honor. Thank you for bringing Disney into the 21st century, and thank you for making the company I have loved since I was a little girl relevant once again. Your leadership has saved Disney, and you are THE model of what a contemporary CEO must understand in today's ever-evolving business landscape. Your position on risk-taking changed the way I approach near every facet of my academic/professional career. It was my privilege to serve you, and thank you for spending your evening at Launderette.
All the best to you and yours,
Hillary
