Lori sent a message to Carol Meyrowitz President and CEO, TJX Companies, Inc. – email address that said:
Hello Ms. Meyrowitz,
I am writing you out of desperation as a $50 gift card for the 3-stores (TJ Maxx, Marshalls Home Goods) that I sent as a gift, was lost in the mail. I have issued a USPS missing mail claim, but I am not hopeful as I mailed it in May and just found out it was never received. I used this gift card which had $100 dollars on it and I transferred $50 to another gift card I mailed and now is lost. I have searched high low to find the receipt for this transaction and unfortunately to no avail. Is there any way to make up for this? I am sure this happens all the time and I cannot swallow the thought of losing $50 just like that! I have learned a valuable lesson, never send gift cards through the mail! There must be hundreds of gift cards that go unused because of this very situation. Please is there any way to recover this $50?
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Lori
