Regina Bolden sent a message to Barbara Rentler - Chief Executive Officer of Ross Stores - Email Address that said:
Hello Ms. Rentler,
I was shopping at your store located at 3533 S 27th St., Milwaukee, WI 53221 on June 10, 2017. After making my selections, I was standing in line waiting to pay for my items, when a man that was straightening organizing the chips in the bins next to the check-out line suddenly turned and bumped into me causing me to stumble and shift my body. He apologized by saying sorry ma am, I didnt see you The wait to check-out was pretty long as there was only one cashier. As I stood there, I could feel my low back start to knot up. Finally after about 20mins of waiting, I was able to check out. I went to my vehicle and got in and could feel pain on the right side of my low back. I thought I better go back inside and report this to the guy that bumped into me. I have shopped in this store before and knew this guy was in management. When I approached him and let him know what I was experiencing, he stated ma am, I barely touched you and I said I was sorry . I said to him - I know you apologized, but Im having some pain in my low back and want it noted that the incident happened. He told me he wasnt writing anything down and I could go ahead and call a lawyer if I wanted, because he didnt care! I explained I not trying to sue, I just want the incident recorded in case I would need some medical treatment on my low back. He stated he wasnt writing anything down. I asked for his name, he refused to give me his name---stating he didnt work for the store, he was only there helping out a friend!!! He ran off the floor into the back office - cutting off all communication with me. I followed him to the back and found Security and asked for the manager. Security told me he just went in the back. I verified with Security that the man I was speaking with was indeed the manager and his name was Kevin . I spoke to Amber (the cashier) asking her Kevins last name, she told me she didnt know it!?!?!? The Security Guard stated he didnt know Kevins last name. I find after working for 50+ years, an employee would not know their managers !?!? I also find it disturbing that your organization would employ a manager that would refuse to take an injury report from a customer and lie about his position with the company!! This man is about 400lbs and I weigh 145lbs, so when he suddenly turned and bumped into me, it affected my low back! My back is still bothering me. I would like for someone from your organization to contact me to address the HORRIBLE customer service and my back pain. (RECEIPT# 1826-03-6327-7161-4, DATED 06/10/17)
Thank you,
