Hello Sir, I am attempting contact to inform you of a recent issue with our – Mark Fields email address

Phillip Mostyn sent a message to Mark Fields - President and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company email address that said:

Hello Sir,

I am attempting contact to inform you of a recent issue with our 2014 Ford Flex. You probably receive these emails regularly but I thought I would take a shot at reaching someone outside of my local dealership. My wife and I have purchased 5 Ford vehicles in the past 11 years including the Escape, Fusion, Explorer, F-150 and Flex. We have enjoyed the products very much and up to this point have been very satisfied Ford owners. As our family grew we ultimately settled into a 2014 Ford Flex Limited as our family vehicle. We have loved this car and expected to keep it as long as possible. This past Sunday, June 4th 2017, our luck with Ford was gone. The engine seized up on the way back from a trip. The Flex has 78,000 mile on it and is out of the factory 60,000 powertrain warranty. We have maintained this vehicle very meticulously and was very surprised at such a sudden catastrophic failure. Ive had it check out at our local dealership (Malloy Ford Winchester Virginia) they offered me $8000 dollars trade value for it. Needless to say I was very disappointed in this offering. Then They gave me the only other option of replacing the engine for $8000. I feel like Im stuck here and not sure what to do at this point. I am wondering if Ford is willing to step up to the plate and assist with this situation. I would appreciate a response to this as soon as you can. Thanks
