The idea is aimed at people like me 25-35 (or older) we have settled in a job got a mortgage and travelled a little. But now we've settled a little and don't fancy the package holiday we want a mixture of seeing the world and a bit of adventure mixed with a little relaxation before our 9-5 job.
I spent hours researching into our trip organising a driver and itinerary. One of my main sources was watching people's go pro videos online. My idea is to have all of this in one place.
There's many amateur video/ photographers out there at the moment making basically free advertising videos. I can't sit on the beach for a day with out being in at least five! The problem is how to get these videos on my site and not just YouTube for friends and how they are of use?
My idea is to basically pay people. They can create a profile say my holiday I'm on at the moment I place my video and photo gallery online and then a intro to my holiday followed by a section to each hotel and how long I stayed with a little review. Also go into what activities are there and what budget I spent so people know how much there beers going to be with thier curry.
How we make money is they place the date they want to travel on and it links to booking.com and maybe others to build an overall price aswell as the flights (looking into using skyscanner for this) and there we have it a ready made adventure holiday that's saved you hours of research and even has its own promotional video.
The profile owner and I take a cut if the client links through to your site and books the hotel. Which would be paid out to the profile holder monthly or over a certain amount of money and this will encourage people to make better reviews and self made holiday videos which can make them money or even a free holiday.
I've done absolutely no research but fancied giving it a go. I'm a graphic designer by trade and have the creative ideas but would like a little advice.
