Hi, Marvin -
I hate to reach out to you over this matter, but I am honestly at wits end. I have ordered "cut to order" blackout roller shades for a houseboat that we have spent 9 weeks remodeling. It launches today.
I ordered the shades the first time two weeks ago (June 18), and when the shipment arrived (June 22), 3 were missing and have never arrived. When we went to install the ones that did arrive, we found that none of them were cut the sizes we ordered.
I had a helpful CSR when I called last Sunday (June 26). We re-measured things and reviewed this with him, confirming that the measurements were for the cloth-to-cloth by width. Because of the mistake, he kindly expedited shipping so they'd arrive yesterday (June 29). I returned the ones we did receive that were the wrong width, to the JCP store nearest me on Tuesday (June 28).
They arrived. But again, 3 of them didnt and yet they show as having shipped and been delivered.
And again, the ones we did get, arent the right size.
I ordered these blinds several years ago for my home bedrooms, and didnt run into this problem.
I called CSR last night and no one can figure out what to do. If they re-order again, the same problem is going to exist. So clearly we need to get everyone on the same page and agree upon a measurement -- even if we need to add an inch to ensure the finished cut is "our size." So I ended the call leaving the ticket open, so I can figure out what to do.
I believe these were on sale when my initial order was placed two weeks ago. I dont want to re-order them myself at an increased width size and pay a higher price. I need your help.
Is there someone you can put me in touch with that actually does the measuring and cutting of these roller shades, so that I can work with them? And can a major adjustment in my re-ordered re-order price be made for all of this hassle?
I've been a long-standing JCP customer, and this is the first time I've ever run into problems. However, this has been a "doozy," for sure. I'll give anyone one mistake, but not two.
We will have no window treatments this weekend on our newly renovated houseboat, and I'm going to have to put up flat-sheets at the windows to give us privacy at bedtime. That definitely won't block out the bright morning light.
Your help in smoothing over this nightmare is greatly appreciated.
