Liam sent a message to Michael O’Leary – CEO, Ryanair – Email Address that said:
I realize you have covered most every angle regarding low fares and winning over the common man, here is just one of my ideas that you may not yet have considered.
B.B.B - Buy Back Booking, or whatever you like to call it.
I use Ryan air all the time I have flown the Dublin Gatwick leg twice every week since last March 2016 - 80 flights give or take.
I book in advance and as times progresses and some of my plans change I dump some flights to suit my changing schedule.
You, Ryanair wont be sure until 2 hours before scheduled departure if i am coming and there goes an empty seat along with a wad of cash, unless you have someone waiting at the gate for cancellation and how often is that !!
You could introduce a sliding scale say the earlier we dump the closer we get to our original paid price and you get a ticked possibly 10 times the value we paid for it and no more empty seats. OR the more valuable the ticket becomes offer an intensive to dump so we can buy another flight !!
This week alone I am dumping my Gat/Dub Fri 16th 14.45 my DuB/Gat Mon 19th 07.35
Either way let me know what you think and if you do like it I want more than a blooming lolly pop.
