we were unable to get the left style section to play any styles or rhythms.
Just received new PSR S770 keyboard today (11/28/17). Box showed no signs of physical damage, nor did the instrument upon un-packing. After reviewing the manual about setting up the instrument, we went through the various instrument features. As I already own a PSR S710 keyboard, I am quite familiar with this instrument series.

Despite numerous attempts at checking settings, etc, we were unable to get the left style section to play any styles or rhythms. The section played when the DEMO button was used but the start/stop button would not illuminate or operate any sound. After finding no other option, we did a factory reset of the System File only.

The left style section and the start/stop button began to operate as it should. Have played the instrument for several hours tonight, using preset sounds as well as sounds on a USB drive from my older S710 instrument. All seems to be working but I am concerned about a possible product defect with this instrument.

Request a review be conducted of the above information and a written EMAIL reply be provided. As away from residence, dont have a reliable phone number at temporary location.

I have purchased this instrument for my brother and I need to be sure it is reliable. I will only be with my brother until early December, so need a reply quickly. Otherwise, we will have no choice but to return it to the retailer (BH Photo) all the way across the country to New York.

I have purchased and used Yamaha keyboard products for years and have been very satisfied with them until now. Please continue to support that experience with this instrument and this identified issue. Thank you.
