Ove sent a message to Dan Schulman – President and CEO of PayPal – Email Address that said:
Hi. PLEASE READ MR SCHULMAN
I am a paypal user.
I am also a bandpage soundcloud user.
I came across a promotion site on soundcloud, and since they use paypal and have used soundcloud a long time, I figured I would try it.
I payed 39 euros for a promotionservice, and clicked agree to "terms and conditions". The terms and condition was "hidden" under a scrolldown button, so I did not read it. I kind of trusted the site, as a lot of people do with "serious" long time companies.
I recieved an email later from the promotion site, stating that my kind of music was not suitable for their pages.
That was fair enough, but they would not refund my money.
They refered to the "terms and conditions":
1. I am paying for the service of: Submitting a track
2. I am aware that Pumpyoursound may not feature my track in their Social Media Platforms (Soundcloud, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube) if my submission does not qualify with their quality standards.
!!! In case you want to be 100% sure that we will repost your track please send us a message with SoundCloud URL and we will let you know !!!
3. I am aware that Pumpyoursound will NOT refund my payment if my track will not be chosen to be featured.
4. I will Never dispute a payment and if I ever dispute a payment in Paypal I am aware that I will be permanently banned from all channels and partner channels of this Network.
I have never heard of any "serious" company have these kinds of conditions. This is a pure scam.
I have also tried to contact your service email, and guess what.
Your own service (paypal service) told me that I was informed about the "terms of condition" from the soundcloud promotion page, and paypal would not refund my money and take direct action against the user.
Seriously, has the world gone mad???
Am I in a twilight zone???
Please say you have some reason in your mind, to restore my faith in good people.
This is simply mind blowing...
Best regards,
Ove
