Martin sent a message to Bernie Ecclestone – President and CEO, Formula One Management – Email Address that said:

Whilst I am full of admiration for Lewis Hamilton, and admire his driving skills, perhaps you can encourage him to show more respect for the National Anthem.
When he is on the podium, other drivers stand still and respect not only the British National Anthem, but also that of other countries. When ours is playing, Lewis seems to spend more time fiddling with his hair, poking fingers and waving at the crowd, smiling and pulling faces. This is really quite disrespectful and he shows himself up with his actions. I don't know what his views on the Monarchy are, and I really do not care, but respect for a few minutes would not go amiss.
Here's hoping for a change when F1 resumes later in the summer.
