Wanted to contact you personally to make you aware of a Home Depot website failure to operate properly as well as a supplier quality issue that Home Depot has with Whirlpool before i posted it to social media in hopes that it can be resolved to my satisfaction.

After recently ordering a Whirlpool freezer from the Home Depot website, i received a call this morning notifying me that the freezer i ordered that was supposed to be delivered in 4 days was being put off for an additional month.

When I called in and spoke with a Whilpool supervisor she notified me that the Home Depot system does not allocate an existing freezer and that Home depot sold non existing products into the future.

Given this a Home Depot customer is left with a malfunctioning product that could fail any minute and cause thousands of dollars in food spoilage 4 days away from the promised delivery date with the automated promise of delivery in a month!

The below email was sent to Marc Bitzer the CEO of Whirlpool.

Marc,
It is very difficult what the country is going through. Given my background is in manufacturing wanted to make you aware of a large quality issue that Whirlpool has with their upright freezers. I have personally found a solution to the issue but ask that you help me with my personal situation with Whirlpool and then would be happy to share the QC issue.

My Whirlpool freezer has required a computer board to be replaced 2 times since having owned it and it shorts out every year. I currently was due a Whirlpool chest freezer to be delivered in 4 days to replace the malfunctioning unit but received a disturbing call saying that it would be put off a month!

The freezer i have has a defective board in it and refuses to run continuously. It turns off and on intermittently. So it could go out at anytime and allow the food to spoil.

Marc having purchased a Whirlpool appliance and being after the one year warranty, the computer board failing, then failing then the replacement failing, now getting a call from Whirlpool telling me that the freezer that is due to be delivered to replace a failing unit delivery is being put off for another month!

Whirlpool has failed this customer as the refrigerator that is also Whirlpool was delivered with a hole in the drip pan and caused an insurance claim to replace it, and now the refrigerator drawer in the freezer face broke off that includes the handle and the extended warranty refused to replace it because it has nothing to do with cooling!

My service has been abysmal but I am reaching out to you personally before posting this on social media in the hopes you will help me by locating my freezer that was due to be delivered in four days and assuring it is delivered and refunding my purchase of the existing freezer which has had two computer boards replaced shortly after a year.

This will help me and I intern will give you the cost effective solution to keep from your upright freezers premature failure due to computer board issues.
